Saskatchewan requires employers to appoint enough trained first-aid attendants scaled to hazard level and headcount under The Saskatchewan Employment Act and Part 5 of The Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, 2020. Attendants are Class A (min. 14 h first aid + 4 h CPR) or Class B (min. 60 h + 8 h CPR) depending on hazard and worker volume.

Under Saskatchewan's Emergency Medical Aid Act, a person — professional or lay — who voluntarily provides emergency medical services or first aid at the immediate scene faces no liability for damages unless there is gross negligence.
